WHO WE ARE

Serving With Empathy & Respect

Assurity Care is a fully registered NDIS Service Provider that was launched four years ago in the northern area of greater Melbourne. It initially operated and provided an extensive range of NDIS services to NDIS participants in that region. It has expanded since, and our organisation now provides quality care to participants across Australia.

Our objective is to be recognised as one of the future leaders in the disability support industry by providing quality care to participants living with various spectrums of impairments. We live by our slogan and want to serve with “Compassion and Respect ” for a greater outcome.

Common
Questions

First, you must apply for your plan and get an approval, then your one-year plan starts right from the day you got the notification. You will contact your service provider and be sure to be getting a support that is suited your needs. As the end user, by law you should be getting your service the way the NDIA has set it out and choose along their guidelines.

You are mandated to activate your account at the government’s NDIS my space portal within 10 days of your plan approval. My place is a safe website for participants or other nominees to view the progress of their plan, request for payments and handle services with providers. Upon approval of your plan, you will be provided with a unique activation code to access my place through their website.

• Access and view Payment Requests
• Open and manage Service Bookings
• View your contact details
• View messages from NDIS
• View referrals made for you
• Instant message with your linked providers
• Upload required documents
• Locate Service Providers
• View upcoming events

The myplace portal handles relevant information regarding your NDIS plan and the funding management within your plan.

There are 3 specific types of supports you can benefit from:
Formal, Informal and Mainstream.

• Formal supports are funded by the NDIS and added to your plan.
• Informal supports are offered by families, friends, individuals and other community organisations. This is the most common of all.
• Mainstream supports include access to quality education, medical health services and related community services.

Many people have a mix of all three types of supports.
Note: Your approval by NDIS will be based on any of the three service provider types.

No doubt, you want to be sure that you have chosen the best provider in your area. You want a provider that is reliable and provides all the services you need in a professional manner. The best way to be able to manage the selected provider is to put a call through to the Assurity Care NDIS expert. They will talk to you about your plan and your needs and will fetch you the best service provider within your locality.

Things don’t always go according to plan;we are aware that some NDIS providers set up agreements and don’t follow up.If your provider is not delivering as expected, please contact Assurity Care staff and get assistance you need. Our organisation is customer focused and delivering excellent services is our primary objective.

This is dependent on your choice of plan. If you select a self-managed or a registered plan management provider option, you need not to hire a provider certified by NDIS. However, if you have selected the NDIS managed option, then a registered provider is your only option. The NDIS have resources to help relate with service providers.

Once again, it all depends on the choice you have made with your plan. If you selected the NDIA-managed option, then you would be charged the NDIA rate.

If you selected the self-managed or registered plan management provider option, then you can negotiate your price. However, please note that the ability to negotiate does not necessarily mean you’ll get a cheaper price.

Regarding payments:

• If you selected the self-managed option, ask for an invoice after receiving the service. The invoice is submitted to the NDIA, which then transfers the funds to your account so you can pay the provider.

• If you selected a registered plan management provider, the provider handles all paperwork and payments on your behalf.

• If you selected the NDIA-managed option, the service provider submits an invoice directly to the NDIA, which pays them directly.

The NDIA website has a dedicated section for information on payments and pricing.

Any unspent money will not be rolled over to your new plan. NDIS works on a ‘use it or lose it” plan. Therefore, a new plan completely replaces the old plan. Therefore, it is advisable for you to exhaust your plan before starting a new one to avoid losing the fund. Assurity Care can help you manage your funding plan and explain all the things you need to know.

The NDIS has a whole lot of publications online, however, if you want to discuss personal issues, contact the Assurity Care centre professionals. They will offer you with the necessary advice that will help your goal and other aspirations. Getting started can be daunting though, however, it is important to be timely.
